Balzayaku was born from our father's dream: a man in love with the Ecuadorian Amazon and with rustic architecture. Together with our mother he spent years building, plank by plank, this corner of Tena where nature and design live in harmony.
Today we welcome you as family. We promote sustainable tourism that respects the region's biodiversity and Kichwa culture: we want you to live the rainforest, from the sounds of dawn to its magical sunsets.

Ayahuasca
$17 per person / night
Named after one of the Amazon's most iconic plants, Ayahuasca cabin is about connection with nature, harmony and ancestral wisdom. It is surrounded by forest: you fall asleep to crickets and wake up to birdsong. A roomy space to rest together without losing the calm of the jungle.
Yaku means "water" in Kichwa, and the name comes from its privileged spot: the cabin looks straight onto our pool. It has three double rooms and one twin room, perfect for big families or groups of friends who want to stay together, each with their own space.
Its name honours the chaguamango, a brightly coloured Amazon bird that often visits us. The cabin is placed to enjoy the quiet of the landscape: two double rooms and one twin room, with large windows facing the greenery.
Yakumama is a mythical Amazon being: a giant anaconda that protects the rivers. This cabin sits by the creek, surrounded by nature, for a deep connection with the jungle. It has two double rooms, ideal for two couples or a small family.
Sacha Wasi means "tree house" in Kichwa. Built entirely of wood, its privileged view immerses you in the green of the Amazon rainforest. It is our most intimate corner: one double room designed for couples looking for a hideaway in nature.
Guayusa is an ancestral Amazon plant that stands for energy, harmony and the start of a new day. Inspired by it, this cabin offers a cosy space facing our largest pool, where rest and calm come together.
Inti Wasi means "house of the sun" in Kichwa: warmth, light and connection with nature. It is on the upper floor with a panoramic view over Balzayaku. Its room has three single beds, ideal for friends or travellers; the bathroom is just outside the room.
Check-in is from 2:00 pm and check-out until 12:00 pm.
